KNOWLEDGE
Degree of understanding and execution of concepts/skills specific to the role
Understanding of and operational experience with TCP/IP networking.
Security architecture and deep operational knowledge that includes firewall, next-gen firewall, intrusion prevention, anti-virus/malware, web filtering , Web security and DOS/DDOS mitigation., network admission control and IPsec/SSL VPN.
TCP/IP routing protocols including RIP, OSPF and BGP
Proven technical sales skills and presentation skills
Enjoys learning about new technologies on the fly
Good writing and documentation skills with publication references. Good English communication skill.
Deep knowledge of the information security (InfoSec) landscape and the business challenges associated with todayâ??s Enterprise and Service Provider network environments.
Knowledgeable on virtual server infrastructures and hypervisors, with special attention to vmWare ESX solutions
Programming languages that assist in network and security automation is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Defines the responsibilities that the candidate will be responsible for in the normal duties of the job

Being a key role in the technical sales strategy of sales partners supporting the Enterprise market
Work directly with partner sales teams and partner organizations
Evangelize security vision and solution sets
Provide technical leadership and mentoring for security solutions to partner engineers throughout the assigned territory
Assist partners with security solutions strategy within all accounts in assigned territory, providing pre-sales technical support, training, and lab support to meet then partner enablement plans
Drive and support the development of partner engineers to solve customer needs and provide a strong competitive advantage for
Act as a technical liaison between product management, marketing, and sales teams
Develop and maintain full working technical mastery of the security and security management product portfolio
Be able to technically position solutions. Be able to create, document, and execute test plans
Assist with technical proposal, RFI, RFP, etc, and response activity
Assist in development, upgrades and demonstration techniques within POC lab or partner POC labs for key partner organizations
Will need to travel throughout the sales territories with potential travel abroad.

The role requires both analytical and creative skills, to ensure the continual measurement, assessment and development of the pre-sales process in alignment to NNS and other corporate initiatives. =

EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field or equivalent experience.

Industry certifications are preferred.
5-7+ years experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer.
7-10+ years experience in the service provider industry and/or large enterprise networks.
CISSP or other security certification is advantageous
